Louise Raggio (June 15, 1919 - January 23, 2011) is a Texas lawyer for over fifty years. She was the first female prosecutor in Dallas County, Texas. He pioneered a coalition to establish the Marriage Property Law of 1967, and the Texas Family Code.

Louise Hilma Ballerstedt was born into a German immigrant family on June 15, 1919 at her grandmother's home in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas where he earned a summa cum laude degree in 1939. He married Grier Raggio, then a government lawyer, in 1941. During the years of raising three sons, he attended the Southern Methodist University on night to get the law. degree in 1952.

Careers
Louise Raggio found a job working as assistant county attorney in Dallas County in 1954 and was given responsibility for child support, a naughty father, a juvenile court and family law. While working as a prosecutor, he learned that married women had fewer rights in Texas than single women, married women in Texas had limited property rights and could not take out bank loans or start their own business without husband's consent. One of his quotes on KERA Texas Trailer Blazer about him sums up the situation of a woman on the altar in Texas: "When a man and woman marry, they are one, and he is the one."
Louise Raggio began fighting for women's rights and became the first female prosecutor in Dallas County, Texas.
Death
Louise Raggio died on 23 January 2011.
