The third season of the American drama television series The Air airs on September 29, 2013 at Showtimes, and closes on December 15, 2013, consisting of 12 episodes. Production for the third season begins in late May 2013, continuing in Charlotte, North Carolina. The series is also filmed in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, which stands in Caracas, Venezuela. The series also plans to return to Israel for additional shooting, but the shoot was moved to Morocco, due to the ongoing conflict in Syria.
The third season had three previous guest actors-Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham and Sarita Choudhury-promoted to the fixed series.
