The Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal (CPILJ) is a student-run law review at the University of Connecticut School of Law. The first volume of CPILJ was published in 2001 with the primary objective to advance the discussion of the legal aspects of the public interest, especially in the state of Connecticut.
CPILJ publishes works both in print and online. Articles are written by professors, judges, practitioners, and students.
Every autumn, CPILJ organizes a symposium on important issues related to public interest law. During this event, lawyers, professors, judges, and other professionals spoke in small panels about a particular subject and asked questions from the audience. The 2013 Symposium is titled, "The Use of Paliative Mariyuana: Demystifying the Connecticut Policy Regarding Medical Cannabis." The past symposium has themed: "The Future of Campaign Financing in America" ​​ (2012), "The Role of Mental Illness in Defining Guilt" (2011), "Immigrants Unchecked at Work: Exploring the Rights and Reform of the Shadow Forces of America " (2010), and " The Road to Prison Reform: Treating the Causes and Conditions of Our Weighed System " (2009).
