The University of California Davis School of Law (Martin Luther King, Jr Hall), referred to as UC Davis School of Law and commonly known as King Hall and UC Davis Law, is an American Bar Association-approved law school located in Davis, California on the campus of University of California, Davis. The school received ABA approval in 1968. It joined the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) in 1968.
By design, UC Davis School of Law is the smallest of the five law schools in the University of California system, with a total enrollment of just under 600 students. The school is located in a building called Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and is often referred to as King Hall.

In 2016, US News & amp; World Report rated UC Davis 30th among leading US law schools, and as the second most diverse of the five law schools in the UC system (after UC Hastings). Princeton Review puts the 10th UC Davis in the country in the 2009 version of the annual ranking of faculty diversity among American law schools. It was listed as an "A-" in "Diversity Honor Roll" in March 2011 by The National Jurist: The Magazine for Law Students .

UC Davis Law has the smallest student body of UC schools, but the student/faculty ratio is slightly larger than UCLA or Berkeley.
UC Davis has been ranked 5th as the most expensive public law school in the United States by the U.S. News & amp; World Report. It is also ranked first to provide financial assistance.
It provides the ultimate in financial aid after UCLA, so students tend to graduate with less debt than any other school on the UC system. UC Davis Law's (LRAP) King Hall Credit Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), established in 1990 to assist alumni working in the field of low-income public service law careers to pay student loans, is the first loan repayment assistance program established in every UC law school.
According to the ranking of Law School Brian Leiter, Davis ranked 23rd in the country in terms of academic impact as measured by academic quotes of flow-flow faculty.
Bar track level
Based on the average of 6 years 2001-2007, 79.4% of UC Davis Law graduates passed the California State Bar exam. In 2009, 89% of first-time test takers graduated from the California bar.
For July 2012, 78.9% of first-time test takers passed the California exam exam. For July 2013, 85.0% of first-time test takers passed the California Bar Exam.

Expansion
The law school completed the $ 30 million expansion project in 2011. The project has added additional wings to the current law school building, increasing the space that can be assigned by nearly 30 percent to provide additional classrooms, offices, and new courtrooms, named Paul and Lydia Kalmanovitz Appeals Courtroom to honor the $ 1 million prize for the project from the Kalmanovitz Charitable Foundation. The courtroom is used by the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the California Superior Court, and the California Court of Appeals.
