The major tax issues facing governments around the world include;

Education
In law school, "tax law" is a sub-discipline and field of specialist study. US law school requires 30 semester credit hours of required courses, 60 hours or more electives and a combined total of at least 90 credit hours is completed. Legal students must choose courses available for focus before graduating with a J.D. degree in the United States. This freedom allows law students to take many tax courses such as federal taxation, inheritance and gift taxes, as well as plantations and successions before completing Juris Doctor and attending a bar exam in certain US states.
The Master of Laws (LL.M) program is offered in Canada, the United States, Britain, Australia, the Netherlands and a number of other countries. Many of these programs focus on domestic and international taxation. In the United States, most LL.M. the program requires candidates to be graduated from the American Bar Association's accredited school of law. In other countries, a law degree is sufficient to be admitted to LL.M. in Taxation law program.
The Master of Laws (LL.M) program is the advanced legal study.
General Requirements
- J.D. (Juris Doctor) or first degree in law.
- English language test score score for students with native language other than English.
Juris Doctor Program (JD) is only offered by a number of countries. These include, the United States, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and the UK. Courses vary in the duration of the year, the curriculum and the need for further training, depending on which country the program is located.
