He's in the right place at the right time for gee-shucks, proud-be-redneck, me-just-a-straight-shooter-multimillionaire-in-cutoff-flannel-selling-ring-tone That's where we are today. We are in a state of vague American values and anti-intellectual pride. "

In response, Larry devotes a chapter in his book GIT-R-DONE to Cross and "Left PC", claiming that Cross has "messed up my fans, it's time for me to say something". Larry claims that Rolling Stone is provoking comedians to attack him, and they switch to Cross only after Lewis Black refuses (because Larry and Lewis are good friends). Cross responded with an Open Letter to Larry the Cable Guy posted on his website. He kept mocking Larry in his stand-up, sarcasticly Blue Collar TV during guest appearances at Wonder Showzen . Alvin and the Chipmunks

"Although he claimed to take on a role primarily for money, he has said that he has no regrets doing it or thinks of it as" selling "because he is not opposed to entertainment designed for children to enjoy that do not send bad messages.. Cross represses the role of Chipmunks in the two sequels of the film, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked . In 2011, Cross said the third movie was "the most unpleasant experience I've ever experienced in my professional life." He stated that this was due to a clash with one particular producer, later explaining that it was not Janice Karman or Ross Bagdasarian, Jr.

Scott Stapp

Cross has been critical of several pop music acts in his stand-up comedy, especially Creed and his lead singer, Scott Stapp. In 2004's album It's Not Funny, Cross called Creed the "third worst band in history", and slandered the group's pop of being too general, pointing out that Stapp wandered around "10th grade girls' space locker 'to find the inspiration for his song lyrics Cross then told an anecdote about Stapp being a last-minute substitute for another celebrity on the recording of Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2003. Cross became worried that a confrontation would happen since he "says the most horrible nonsense about the man [Stapp] on stage and in print.
